Opening titles for Plano Alto, a Record TV political drama spanning three generations of a family in power.
Plano Alto is a political drama series from Record TV, written by Marcílio Moraes. It follows three generations of a family entangled in Brazilian politics: a governor who fought against the military dictatorship, a son who began his career in the streets during the "caras-pintadas" protests, and a new generation growing up amid alliances, scandals and power struggles.
The challenge of the opening titles was to create scenes that could connect these stories in a matter of seconds, weaving together past and present, the streets and the halls of power, idealism and corruption. To do this, we built a visual language of contrasts: light and shadow, crowds and isolation, public speeches and backroom deals. The scenes transform into one another, showing how each generation inherits the struggles and contradictions of the one before.
I was responsible for concept art and motion animation, alongside Renato Prado, Igor Kenji and Gabriel Furukawa. The character was created by illustrator Cesar Cavelagna.
